Plastician

Arguably the Dubstep scene’s foremost DJ and Producer, Plastician’s pioneering talent and work ethic has seen him almost single handedly transplant the sub bass lines of Dubstep into the consciousness of an international audience. With sets that need to be experienced first hand, he has recently played in Japan, along both the West and East coasts of the US and throughout Europe as well as holding down a weekly show on Rinse FM and a role as co-founder of Terrorhythm records. His iconic production work is instantly recognisable with a full album ‘beg to differ’ under his belt and a deluge of remix work due for release throughout 2010. Recognise.

Joker

Joker first came to prominence with his ghetto - jazz anthem ‘Gully Brook Lane’, released on Plastician’s Terrorhythm imprint. Hyperdub label boss and world renowned tastemaker Kode 9, highlighted Joker as the producer to watch in 2009: “hearing his amazing lead synths on the dancefloor sounds like a group execution taking place…like Wiley stuck in an elevator with 80’s band, Cameo”. Still aged only 20, Joker is a precocious talent with a remarkable ear for melody, groove and devastating bass. It’s this that has seen him rise rapidly to become the vanguard of the next generation of British super producers and has already seen him work alongside artists such as Roni Size and Simian Mobile Disco as well as attracting interest from labels far and wide including Warp Records. 2010 is set to be big from the Bristol based Joker.
