NY State of Mind - PART 1: The Agenda Show
Posted on January 31, 2014
The past week saw King Apparel once again head over to NYC for the January edition of Agenda. Located in the premium downtown location of Mercer Street, Agenda is now the biggest streetwear show in the world with an amazing exhibition space, free coffee and donuts and plenty of booze, so with a few shows already under our belt and icing sugar all over the samples we had the booth set up in no time at all.
On show was the forthcoming SS14 collection including snapbacks, 5 panel caps, and New Era 5950's as well as a full compliment of cut and sew t-shirts, sweats and hoods. Also on display for the first time was the new AW14 collection with a larger line of cut and sew shirts, jackets, crews and hoods as well as t-shirts and headwear building on the direction of key pieces such as the bespoke shirts and jackets from the current season.
The show brings together all of the best brands and buyers from the finest stores and as ever it was a road block over the course of two days despite outside temperatures dipping to the -20 mark! Providing the best platform to relay the core streetwear philosophy behind the brand and run through the new collections, fresh stores were secured from all over the US, new distributors jumped on board and firm friendships were made and cemented. One dude even let the whole world see his butt whilst ordering!
Next stop will be the behemoth that is the Vegas edition of Agenda and Capsule so keep an eye out for the coverage on that badboy!
