The PULL UP series is shot in collaboration with our East London family United Development at their HQ - The Talent House. A state-of-the-art, cultural, music and dance hub based in Stratford that provides a location for young people to develop their talents and skills using their professional recording studios, live rooms, tech labs and dance studios.
For the fourth installment of the PULL UP series we had to bring it home and local to the birthplace of Grime - EAST LONDON - and one of the areas most notable MC’s to emerge from Grime in the past few years, man like Tommy B.
A self-starter and artist that grafted and made moves to put himself on the map, Tommy was a regular lacing the mic at Grime Originals and Lord Of The Mics showcases, on pirate radio and an emcee with a signature style, major energy and bars that would always bring mad hype.
From lyric writing at 9 years old, Tommy perfected his craft and the release of ‘The New Dimension’ EP in 2019 was a seminal moment in putting him on the map with Devlin, Pres T and Discarda all featuring on the project. With a series of singles, collab with JME and another EP under the belt, 2023 sees the release of his debut album ‘Spiritual Hooligan’. With the opening single featuring the legendary Frisco, the album is a thought provoking journey encapsulating the close to home feelings, thoughts and experiences of a young working class man.
Tommy has been a firm part of the KING camp for over six years now, featuring in his own lookbook and we are proud to give you the full interview with the man himself as he drops gems on the journey so far, the new album project and where things are heading. No longer ‘one to watch’ Tommy is certified as one of the leaders in the new generation of UK artists.
