Edition 2 of the LACE UP series sees us collaborate with one of the baddest females in the sneaker game - the crep connoisseur - Lynnie Zonzolo aka Elle Sneaks. Not to be outdone, we picked up the styling with items from the Varsity inspired Whitechapel Range, featuring hoodies, t-shirts and co-ord summer sets.
Recent summer seasons have seen matching twin sets earning the stamp of approval from both the fashion & streetwear community alike. From clean essentials to all over prints, they are the gateway to an instantly clean look and sneaker hookups without the stress of planning an outfit.
A trend whose roots can be found in the ‘70s/80s - with matching ensembles on celebs and supermodels - FFWD to heatwaves and lockdown living in the 2020’s and the lounge style set has come full circle.
Add in the spice with the latest college Varsity looks and the Whitechapel range is ticking all the boxes. Making a play on college sports, the KING design team drew on team mascots for the Black Panther ‘Loyal To Few Ruled By None’ emblem that can be found intricately embroidered and printed on all Whitechapel items. This was offset with the classic ode to fierce sports team rivalry and the ‘them and us’ analogy as we adorned every item with the iconic KING vs EVERYBODY strapline.
As a style icon in her own right Lynnie effortlessly slayed a range of looks; The Whitechapel short set in Navy with the matching premium pattern cut T-shirt - The Yeezy Adidas Foam Runner finishing off a minimalistic yet smooth fit from head to toe; The matching twin set in oxblood with the gold leaf sign off and of course the Whitechapel Varsity hoodie with inset mascot hood print, embroidered badges and the highest quality chenille patching.
The Whitechapel range is full of timeless, statement items, from Lynnie’s sets and hoodies to the matching caps and centrepiece Varsity Jackets. Everything is produced from scratch on our own dyed fabrics, pattern cut blocks and embellishment designs, with limited runs and no re-stocks.
