The Re-Up

Our involvement with YouTube mini-series The Re-Up saw a continuation of our support for homegrown talent. Exclusive to GRM Daily, the 2-part British drama from Deno Michael Mebrahtu is directed by Sheridan De Myers, who also handled director duties on the KING short film THE DROP featuring Morrisson. The production follows the life of friends Brandon and Vince as they move from a routine existence of college life, making music and linking with friends to becoming embroiled in a complex web of situations in their neighbourhood.

Having been brought in from the project's conception, we used our experience to assist the styling department bring authenticity to the outfits and looks of the lead characters. Our history with homegrown TV shows and movies goes back to our involvement with feature films such as Ill Manors, Adulthood and Blue Story, in addition to Netflix's critically acclaimed Top Boy.

KING was honoured to be involved in The Re-Up, which has now exceeded well in excess of five million views on YouTube.
