ALIFE 1

ALIFE were a staple of not only Rivington and the LES but New York itself, without a doubt the underground NYC brand. After some recent 'troubles' they're back, and after what felt like a slight mis-step with their initial comeback tshirts (Lets not beat around the bush here, they were shit) ALIFE are back on top after successful collabs with P//RETTY PUKE and more recently, Jadakiss and Cam'ron tshirts.

They now have full use of their stores backyard, and have been really putting it to work by hosting some off the cuff gigs all summer. It started with the Jadakiss t-shirt release during Agenda week, with the man himself performing, and it finished last week with Drake stopping by to perform tracks off his new album 'Nothing was the same'. Somewhere between those two we were there to check out London's own King Krule perform ahead of his Bowery Ballroom gig the following night.

Like Thursday nights in London

#Streetgoth

It's cool to see a sound resolutely British resonating with the 'hip' New York crowd

Sarah's hand makes more appearances on this blog than I do

ALIFE 8

Archy was on fire tonight, his sound really works in a venue like this. Something tells me he won't be the hot new act for long so I can't help feeling like I was lucky to catch him in such an intimate setting. Doubt I'll get that chance again.

Best seat in the house surely?

Thanks ALIFE! Sorry I stole a bunch of A.R.C. golf balls from your bathroom.
