For the second edition of the PULL UP series we connected with long time KING affiliate and Grime G - The Real PK. PK recently took on the mantle of rave organiser alongside his YGG stablemates and Newham MC Fusion as host of the Won In A Million Grime showcase events.
October saw the first in a series of events organised within the culture to promote the UK and Grime scene and bring the best of underground and rising talent under one roof. Inspired by the dearth of events and lack of spotlight, PK and Fusion’s intention was to create something that would mark their legacy and outlive them - open-mic style performances, opportunities to network and connect with like-minded individuals and a chance to celebrate the art & energy of music.
KING rolled through for the first event to document the madness, deck the boys in the new collection and get them in front of the camera to drop the low down on their careers to date, the wider scene and the event in more detail. Supporting the grass roots of the culture has always been top of the brand remit, in order to fully support the growth of the scene and the opportunity to put the spotlight on those people living and breathing and emerging on the underground.
